This has been one of my favourite years of as a wedding photographer- so many memories captured! It was fitting to celebrate the last wedding of the year on New Year’s Eve with Peter and Annemarie’s special winter wedding. I made the scenic four-hour drive to Annemarie’s hometown of Tara, Ontario, where she was getting ready in her beautiful childhood home just a few blocks from the church. Everything in the wedding was handled by close friends and family of the bride and groom, and all of the love invested in celebrating the marriage of these two really touched me. Peter and Annemarie are a couple whose love and excitement to be married was contagious. They were thrilled, and we were thrilled to witness them.
New Year’s Eve turned out to be the night of a snowstorm, and Annemarie got the white winter wonderland wedding she always desired. When Annemarie was a young girl, she pictured herself getting wedding portraits under the apple trees in a field close to her home. Though it was a blizzard, we trekked out (knee deep), and got the images she desired! It really was the perfect end to a wonderful year of weddings for me.
A Testimonial From Annemarie:
We were so thrilled to be able to have Chance come to document our special day as we got married in my home town of Tara on New Year’s Eve. I have long been a huge fan of Chance’s work and it was a dream come true to have him be the one to capture our day. Chance is not only an amazing photographer, but also a dear friend. He takes pride in documenting the special moments of life and is passionate about his work. The day of our wedding was a big snow storm, something I myself had personally hoped for as I wanted a winter wonderland, and Chance fully embraced the snowy weather. He used his creative expertise to transform simple backdrops into stunning masterpieces, and the results are breathtaking. Chance is so easy to work with, and we had a lot of fun together taking winter shots! He was even up to a snowy walk through a farmers field in search of a grove of apple trees I desired to take pictures in, excitedly embracing the beauty of the moment. We are beyond pleased with our pictures, Chance was able to perfectly capture the special moments that made up the day, allowing us to relive our wedding over and over. We will treasure these pictures for many years to come. Thank you Chance!
