So this may be a bit late, considering our first wedding of the year is on SATURDAY…but better late than never! I wanted to do a little round-up post of all our 2013 weddings one last time. It was such a great summer!
2013 was Chance’s first “big” year of weddings. He had previously done 3 weddings, and last summer we had 8! That may not be a lot of weddings for some photographers, but it was a big jump for us!
All our weddings were beautiful in their own unique way. We loved getting to know our couples. Some of them were our friends before the wedding, and some became our friends after!
Many of our weddings this year were attended by some of our former wedding clients. It is so fun to be able to reunite and to see those couples growing and supporting the newer couples! We love being a part of this community!
Chris + Rachel at Caleb + Michelle's Wedding, Preston + Katrina at Nathan + Jessica's Wedding; Abby, Jenn & Michelle at Dave + Jenn's Wedding
Our weddings took us to Peterborough, Guelph, Burlington, Uxbridge, Mississauga, Keswick, and Newmarket
We took some selfies while at our weddings, ’cause we’re cool like that (and super professional)
We bought 1 new camera, 2 new lenses, and one new camera bag. Oh, and a giant new computer! And a REALLY fancy umbrella in case of rain (but that’s a long story…)
We created new information sheets for our client meetings…it’s always a work in progress to provide the best experience for our clients!
We photographed 2 weddings with Carlo Raponi Wedding Films (a pretty cool guy)
And we also spent a lot of time with our good friend Tim Horton to fuel our pre-wedding drives (gotta have my double double; Chance prefers an ice capp or a coffee with double cream)
On a personal note, we moved 2 times over the summer as our apartment was being renovated!
And Chance held down 4 jobs in addition to Chance Faulkner Photography last summer. WHEW! He’s the man!
All in all, it was a busy and exciting summer for us! I absolutely loved every minute of it. I know I say it a lot, but I loved getting to be a part of these beautiful weddings, meet all these beautiful couples and families and friends, getting to sit down with a big mug of coffee on Monday morning and start sorting through the amazing photos…
I love wedding photography, so this job of my husband’s is like a dream come true for me. And I think he likes it too We are so so thankful for all of you who let us be a part of your weddings and trust us with your memories. We’ve kind of stumbled into this wedding photography thing (well, I did at least!) and it couldn’t be more clear to us that God is leading and growing our business and helping us build relationships with people through it, and that is an amazing thing that we so feel blessed to be a part of.
Here’s to 2014!
